Living in the Light
1st John
Fall 2024 Sermon Series
Light and darkness have long since served as metaphors for good and evil. The Apostle John uses this metaphor in the first of three letters that he writes to churches who are experiencing the pain of deception and disunity. In the midst of this difficulty, John writes a compelling case for Jesus that is expressed in the light of truth and love.
We live in a world where many people claim to follow Jesus, but they are deceptive and destructive in their words and actions. John reminds us that those who live in the light are obvious: They love one another with the sacrificial love of Jesus. Growing in the love of Jesus will lead us to living in the Light of love and truth.
Join us this fall as we explore what it means to live in the light.
